JK Cement all set to host the 26th edition of Architect of the Year Awards.

JK Cement, India’s premier cement company will announce the 26th Architect of the Year (AYA) Award-2017 on September 17, 2017 in Coimbatore. The prestigious award is JK Cement’s annual flagship event and is aimed at recognizing and encouraging remarkable talent in the field of architecture..

Some of the most prestigious categories at the AYA include Architect of the Year, the Great Master’s Award, the Young Architect Award and the Foreign Countries Architect Award. The jury for the award includes renowned names in the field of architecture (refer list).

The revolving category this year is affordable housing, which is in line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of providing housing for all.

Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, currently advisor and former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation will grace the award ceremony as the Chief Guest. Mr. Raghavpat Singhania and Mr. Abhishek Singhania from JK Cement will also be present on the occasion.

Speaking on the success of the AYA, Mr Yadupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, J.K. Cement Ltd. said, “Year after year, the AYA has created a legacy of promoting excellence in the field of architecture. The awards that were instituted over a quarter of century ago, have witnessed remarkable success and earned great respect in the architect fraternity I extend my heartiest congratulations to to all the nominees.”

The prestigious AYA Awards is attended by the most celebrated names in the world of architecture, and is one of the most anticipated events of the year for leading architects. This year, the jury received over 199 entries that came from India as well as its neighboring nations, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
